Family Cabins
Camp UTABA has served youth for nearly a century, and our camp layout reflects that design. However, the cabins lack integrated bath facilities, making them unfriendly to people with disabilities and older adults who are at risk of injury navigating to restrooms at night.
Adding a small number of two-bedroom cabins with ADA restrooms would make it safer and more enjoyable for these campers to take advantage of what Camp UTABA offers.
Camp leaders can also use these facilities, and small groups who gather in the common rooms of these family cabins can use them for small retreats.
It would also enable clergy and their families to spend retreats at the camp during non-peak months. A new ministry of this camp could offer clergy retreat dates to allow clergy to recharge with their families and re-engage their ministries.

Assembling Cabin Kits
These photos represent example cabin kits available from commercial vendors that could be considered. Utilities and concrete foundations would be needed to match the kit requirements. Partnering with construction vocational schools to assemble cabins may be possible.
